Call for Applications: University Certificate in Education (UCE) Programme - June 20 24 Intake
The School of Education at the University of Malawi is pleased to announce the call for applications for enrolment in the University Certificate in Education (UCE) Programme - June 2024 intake.
Background
The School of Education is the fulcrum, oldest, and excellent leader in education studies in Malawi. Among its core focus areas, the School of Education trains teachers and practitioners for local and global education practice through various programs. The UCE is a recognised programme that equips education practitioners who aspire to become qualified teachers with current knowledge, skills and hands-on training, leading to a recognised professional credential relevant to the modern job market.
UCE Programme Structure
The University Certificate in Education (UCE) Programme is a one-year programme. It is a non-residential programme that is offered on a modular basis, combining face-to-face and Open Distance and Electronic (ODeL) learning. Candidates are required to undergo Teaching Practice (TP) at the end of the Programme.
Tuition and Application Fee
he tuition fee for the entire Programme is MWK850,000.00, and a non-refundable application fee of MWK10,000.00 is required to process one’s application.

Eligibility criteria
Applicants must possess at least a diploma or degree in any field from a recognized institution of higher learning.

An application package should consist of the following:
1. Application letter expressing your interest
2. Curriculum Vitae
3. Certified copies of academic transcripts
4. Certified copies of certificates
5. Reference letter
6. Three-month bank statement or letter from the Sponsor.
7. The application fee bank deposit receipt
